Few things was so celebrated in the musical instrument market as the return of Giannini electric guitars made in Brazil – and this is not modesty, but a fact. Everything done with the necessary precautions in advance to present to the public a product with the care that would be expected from such a long-awaited release, and which at the same time pointed to the future; something that respected everything that had been built since the 60s (when our first guitars were manufactured) and that also brought new things to those who craved not just nostalgia, but mainly quality. Giannini Masterwood rescues the company's most characteristic classic formats, which have marked generations of musicians and/or enthusiasts, and adds to them top-notch modern complements, in a set ready to satisfy those who want the traditional, but definitely revitalized. Even those who have waited so long will be surprised – and that is exactly our main objective.

The Woods

Brazilian Cedar

Widely used in solid instruments, due to its lightness and stability. The sound provided by Brazilian Cedro is characterized by a deeper and velvety tone, excellent bright definition (as it is not very resinous), good projection and sustain. Natural wood from open forests and fields with a hot/humid climate, widely distributed in the North region, mainly in the states of Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Pará and Rondônia. It has low density, medium to thick texture, pinkish-beige color, and veins forming smooth regular designs.

Pau-Ferro

Used in acoustic instruments and in the creation of fingerboards and bridges. It produces pieces with good sound, beautiful finishing and excellent sustain, with a brighter tone than Rosewood, but which manages to retain the warmth for which Rosewood is celebrated. Its color varies from light yellowish brown to brownish brown, with dark veins forming characteristic and exotic irregular designs. Known for its rigidity, moderately light and very durable, Pau-Ferro is found in Goiás, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, São Paulo and Paraná states.

Pau-Marfim

Heavy wood, highly durable, easy to saw and work with, it is ideal for musical instrument necks, due to its naturally glossy and smooth surface to the touch. A species of long-lived and large tree, common in secondary forests and capoeirãos, it is common in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. It has high density, good mechanical resistance, and a color that ranges from straw-white to pale yellow.
